Around 8:30 a.m. this morning a small yellow school bus caught on fire on the corner of Seventh Avenue and 34th Street. The FDNY is still on the scene and is giving limited information about the blaze, but the fire seems to be under control. Thankfully, it appears the bus was emptied before the fire got out of hand.

"All the kids got off before the smoke came, and the kids are all OK," an employee at the the Conway clothing store on Seventh Avenue told DNAinfo. Eight students had been on the bus, according to officials. An official says that the students were transfered to another bus before the fires began. According to MyFoxNY, "A minor explosion was heard inside the bus as it burned."
