The blizzard warning may have been called off for NYC, but Tuesday's winter storm is still blanketing everything here in a disgusting lacquer of mostly-frozen slush. Most roads throughout lower Manhattan remain unplowed, and the few brave souls who ventured outside in the early hours had to battle with a near-horizontal onslaught of blowing ice that's currently gusting up to 50 mph. Crosswalks? Forget about it. Salted sidewalks? Maybe, if you're lucky. With schools closed and many businesses shuttered for the day, there's really no reason for you to go outside unless it's absolutely necessary. We already suffered through a long morning trudge through mess, so you better enjoy these photos.
