You may be happy you didn't plan on flying out of town for Thanksgiving but if you're traveling by train, it's possible you are in NYC's center of soul-crushing activity: Penn Station.
Photographer Tod Seelie braved the crowds trying to get to their chill family gatherings by Long Island Rail Road, NJ Transit and Amtrak today. He found that things started to get packed at 3 p.m., with folks putting in a half day at work then rushing for their train—with luggage and pies—gazing at the departures board in desperation.
Thoughts and prayers to anyone in Penn Station right now.
