The annual World Naked Bike Ride wound its way across Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan yesterday. And no one was arrested this year for causing a ruckus of rosy cheeks in the streets.
That's probably because this was a decidedly low-key event this year—there were only around 15-20 people who painted their bodies and participated in the ride, with another 15 or so photographers in tow. The event got started late in the hope that more riders would turn out.
More shockingly, there was very little nudity anywhere to be seen— only a few of the riders were mostly naked (down to their underwear). The vast majority had shorts on. No one went completely naked.
