A bullet narrowly missed a Bronx police officer on Saturday night, ripping a hole straight through his hat, the the Daily News reports. The unidentified officer was responding to a gunfight between the Squared Gang and the 18 Park Gang at E. 145th Street and Third Avenue shortly before 10:30 p.m. According to the News, he "held his hat in his hand so it wouldn't fly off. That's when the bullet tore through the fabric, just missing him."
