The past two weekends have been cause for much kvetching, since it was nearly impossible to use the subway without having to go through a shuttle bus or lots of transfers unless you live on the Staten Island Railroad. But NYCTSubwayScoop has some photos that show all that hassle wasn't for naught! Transit workers were busy pouring concrete near 34th Street, making "platform upgrades" at the Kings Highway Q station, and replacing pandrol plates with quieter resilient fastener plates. Doesn't that make you feel so much better about your weekend commute?

And this morning the MTA says it has "good service," whatever that means!
