Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio pulled a Rex Ryan late Wednesday and showed off his bonafides as a Man of the People by taking the subway home. But it's hard out there for a towering giant, so we can't imagine he went unrecognized for very long—especially on the 6 train at 6 p.m. rush hour.

When he takes office in January, de Blasio is widely expected to raise the height of New York's tiny subway cars by at least two feet to ease the burden on freakishly tall commuters and teenagers with plus-size afros.
