We much prefer when NASA puts pretty pictures online (as opposed to super depressing ones) and this week they have not disappointed! In case there was any question that New York City is the tops, just look how much brighter we shine than the rest of the Eastern seaboard!

What you see before you is a photo taken of the East Coast at night, from the International Space Station on February 6. Explains NASA: "Boston is just out of frame at right. Long Island and the New York City area are visible in the lower right quadrant. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are near the center. Parts of two Russian vehicles parked at the orbital outpost are seen in left foreground."

Bright lights, big city indeed!
