The Daily News' police sources claim that a man groped a little boy in a bathroom at a Central Park playground yesterday morning. According to the News, "The boy was leaving the bathroom at Ancient Playground, near the Metropolitan Museum of Art, about 9:15 a.m. when a man grabbed his buttocks and fled."

Parents tell the News that the kids-only bathrooms at the playground are usually closed, so kids have to use the adult bathrooms. One parent said, "They need to make sure these bathrooms are opened up. That horrifies me, because we're here every Sunday."

The playground is on a sliver of land, bounded by Fifth Avenue, the 85th Street Transverse and the 86th Transverse. Its location near many museums and its recently renovated facilities make it a popular spot.
