A pedestrian walking by West 57th Street and 10th Avenue was killed by a motorcyclist that struck him. According to WCBS 2, "Police say a 22-year-old woman driving the motorcycle hit the man while he crossed the street at 57th and 10th Avenue just before 3 a.m."

The 58-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital. The motorcyclist, who was treated for head trauma and is in stable condition, will probably not face any charges. WCBS 2 adds, "Investigators on the scene say they believe a pothole in the road may have contributed to the accident."

And just before 5 a.m., a pedestrian was hit by a van at 44th Street and 8th Avenue; the driver fled while the pedestrian was taken to a hospital.
