A pedestrian was killed in Jackson Heights last night when he was fatally stuck by a drunk driver, according to authorities.
The NYPD says the unidentified male was hit around 4:30 a.m. on 92nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue, by the driver of a vehicle traveling eastbound on Roosevelt Avenue. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the 42-year-old driver and his 35-year-old female passenger were transported to Elmhurst General Hospital; the driver is now in police custody, with unknown charges pending. The Post reports that the driver was allegedly drunk at the time of the collision.
