Yesterday afternoon, there was a crazy scene at Patterson Houses in the South Bronx. One man was killed and several others were injured including a man in critical condition after being shot in the head and a man that was shot in the leg and stabbed in the neck. Police are unsure what the reason for the gunfire was, but there was a fight before shots were fired. They are also unsure if the gunfire was from the men who were fighting or if another party fired the shots.
None of the men were identified by the NYPD, but they are from 19-25 years of age. The incident happened before 4 p.m., when there were many people in the courtyard, including several children. Lance Barksdell, a witness to the events immediately after the shooting said, "I must have seen 50 kids running away."
