Remember the alleged domestic abuse cover-up scandal that foiled Governor Paterson's election bid? (If not, here's a refresher.) Although the Governor was cleared of any wrongdoing, the aide at the center of the story is still in trouble with the law; he's charged with assault, menacing, harassment and criminal mischief, all misdemeanors. Yesterday a judge extended an order of protection against the aide, David Johnson, hasn't spoken to the press since the Times first broke the story of his alleged assault of ex-girlfriend Sherr-Una Booker on Halloween last year. But he was seen leaving court "looking calm." Just once we'd like to see the 6-foot-7 Johnson snap and shove a photographer!
