Are you sitting down? The last thing we want is to ruin anybody's holiday, but we've got some terrible news. It's the prince, the prince of Monaco. He was punched at a nightclub over the weekend! Witnesses say his face is "broken" and he might need plastic surgery. Words fail. The good news is that the fashion models that were tangentially involved in the fight are unharmed (seen here), and the brute who allegedly punched the little prince is being brought to justice.

Sources tell the Post that Prince Pierre Casiraghi, 24, was partying at the Meatpacking District club Double Seven around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when he was assaulted by Adam Hock, 47, who formerly owned Hawaiian Tropic Zone. Hock, who was at the club with models Natasha Poly, Valentina Zalyaeva and Anja Rubik, claims that the prince and his entourage were being "completely obnoxious." Members of his party say the prince insulted the models, and even swigged from their $500 bottle of Grey Goose vodka. That's when Hock allegedly gave the royal a roundhouse.

According to the Telegraph, the prince was joined by Stavros Niarchos III, the shipping heir and ex-boyfriend of Paris Hilton, and the model Jessica Hart. They say Hock punched the prince without provocation, sending him flying across the room. Hock, the Post reports, "then allegedly punched out Niarchos, 26, and quickly landed blows on downtown hipsters Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld, 27, and Diego Marroquin, 33 — as the flustered models frantically tried to break it up."

Hock was charged with four counts of third-degree assault, and at his arraignment yesterday, said, "I was defending myself and others. Why aren’t [Casiraghi and his pals] handcuffed?" His attorney told the Post, "My client was having a nice time with a married couple and a lady friend and a group of very beautiful women, and these individuals were jealous, and they resorted to elementary-school tactics. My client is not Bruce Lee... These four guys are trust-fund babies who think the world is owed to them. They are like spoiled brats."

We realize this is a lot to bear, especially coming on the heels of the broccoli truck overturning on the Williamburg Bridge, but try to be brave. Remember: The models are UNSCATHED.
