A manhole that exploded on Prospect Park West sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to FDNY, the manhole at PPW near 5th Street erupted around 11:20 a.m., injuring an unfortunate passerby who was taken to Lutheran Hospital.

Residents of the area report hearing a loud "boom" at the time of the explosion, and one Vine user says that all the windows along the street have broken.
