A man accused of groping several young girls in Park Slope is still wanted by police, after he fought off an officer who attempted to arrest him on Monday.

An undercover detective recognized the suspect on 5th Avenue between 8th and 9th streets around 3:30 p.m. She attempted to arrest the man, but he struggled and broke free, leaving her with a bruised shoulder and arm, the Post reports.

Investigators say the suspect—described vaguely as "a man in his 40s"—is wanted for several instances of sexual assault, specifically, approaching young women and pinching their backsides. CBS reports that police believe the same man is responsible for four separate attacks, all of which occurred in the daytime in the area along 5th Avenue between 8th and 11th streets. The most recent incident happened last week, and none of the victims have been older than 12.

Police have yet to release a more comprehensive description of the suspect, but have been going door to door asking residents whether they've seen him.
