After his televised "prowess" speech yesterday, Carl Paladino attended a GOP dinner in Orleans County where he serenaded state Republican Party Chairman Ed Cox on his birthday. It was surprisingly sweet, but also kinda awkward, especially considering the two weren't the closest of friends a couple months ago. You can see the sonorous video below.

And about that "prowess" comment in his announcement speech yesterday: Andrew Cuomo said he didn't watch the video, and refused to say anything substantive in response to it (avoiding "gutter politics," yadda yadda yadda), but the Daily News also asked the always-amusing Roger Stone about it: "[he] insisted to me that the "prowess" comment was intended as a "compliment," to which I light-heartedly suggested that if he started feeling dizzy, he should try spinning in the opposite direction."
