Meet Osama bin Laden, climate change crusader. In his latest hit tape (which has not yet been independently verified), the Al-Qaeda leader laments the catastrophic flooding that has killed thousands in Pakistan and displaced hundreds of thousands more. "What we are facing... calls for generous souls and brave men to take serious and prompt action to provide relief for their Muslim brothers in Pakistan. Providing tents, food and medicine is a duty... Action should not be confined to providing emergency aid... but to set up a capable relief task force that has the knowledge and experience need to [meet the challenges]." Task force? Food and medicine? Has bin Laden lost his edge?

Don't worry, the 11 minute tape also features plenty of that classic "Death to America" gangsta Osama we've come to expect. The Post reports that bin Laden vowed that al Qaeda would kill Americans if the alleged mastermind of the 2001 attacks on the United States, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, is executed. Wait, does that mean al Qaeda has been taking a break from trying to kill Americans? Apparently not; in case anyone forgot, bin Laden also declared, "God willing, our attacks against you will continue as long as you maintain your support to Israel."

But in his recent speeches, bin Laden has emphasized that climate change poses a greater threat than war. The SITE Intelligence Group says the new speech, entitled, "Pauses with the Method of Relief Work," is heard in an 11 minute, 39 second video produced by al-Qaeda’s media arm, as-Sahab. Only a still picture of bin Laden is shown, along with alternating images of disaster afflicted people receiving aid. We guess a scene showing Al Gore giving bin Laden a "terrorist fist jab" ended up on the cutting room floor.
