One person is dead after a tractor-trailer traveling the wrong-way crashed into cars in the Auburndale section of Queens.
The FDNY responded to a call at 6:40 a.m. about the crash on Francis Lewis Boulevard, near 49th Avenue.
It's believed the driver of the truck died. WABC 7 reports, "Police tell Eyewitness News that the driver of the box truck was going the wrong direction when he/she struck three parked cars." NBC New York says that the driver went into cardiac arrest and then veered across the median, in the oncoming traffic lanes.
