013108mamaboy.jpgJeremy Abelson, founder of the luxury lifestyle newsletter Pocket Change, struck a publicity goldmine last February when his company sponsored a speed dating event that matched affluent men of any age with attractive young women of any I.Q. Called “Natural Selection Speed Date: Rich Guys & Hot Girls,” the event drew hate mail from women objecting to the crass, misogynistic nature of this “exercise in eugenics.”

So this year Abelson is turning the beat around with “Natural Selection Speed Date II: Sugar Mamas & Boy Toys.” Female applicants were vetted solely by wealth, men solely by appearance. Set to take place at Manhattan's 230 Fifth club on February 7th, this speed dating night comes with a mission statement, grandiosely titled “The Fourth Wave of Feminism”:

Symbiosis has allowed ugly rich men to attract young, gorgeous, money-hungry women for centuries; it's now the women's turn. For all of the leopard-print attire and decades of alimony you have amassed in your divorces, we know that there is still a void within you that even an unattractive David Yurman necklace can not fulfill.

Twenty women over the age of 35 will be there on February 7th to rob the cradle; each lady earns at least $500,000 a year or has at least $4 million in liquid assets, entrusted assets or divorce settlement. Sound attractive, fellas? Well, you’re too late – 5,000 eager young bucks got the jump on you, bro. The herd’s been thinned to a pool of twenty tools with photos torn straight out of an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog. And just who are these women of a certain age?

It's unclear how anonymous the "sugar mammas" were supposed to remain, but the website shows their age, assets and has even saved the photographs with their names attached.

You can see photos of all the moneyed mamas and tantalizing toys, leave snide comments and vote for your favorites; winners will get dinner at Per Se and you’ll get the comfort of knowing that no matter how bad your dating life gets, you'll never be that desperate. Right?
