An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested for drunk driving Sunday morning in Manhattan. Jean Verdesoto, 32, was taken into custody just after 5 a.m. yesterday and charged with DWI and refusal of a breath test in Inwood.

The Daily News reports that Verdesoto hit two pedestrians with his BMW as he rolled into a crosswalk at 10th Avenue and West 206th Street. Police sources told the tabloid that two men, 26 and 28, were not injured in the incident, but an NYPD spokesperson could not confirm any details regarding an alleged collision.

In a separate incident, police also arrested Corrections Officer Everald Searchwell, 54, on DWI charges Sunday morning. Searchwell reportedly crashed his car at the corner of Provost Avenue and Light Street in the Bronx just before 7:30 a.m. yesterday.
