An off-duty cop was stabbed this afternoon during an apparent home invasion robbery in Queens. According to the FDNY, the incident happened just after 1 p.m. today in Jamaica—the male officer, whose name and age haven't been released yet, was stabbed in the side and hit in the head with an unknown object in his home at 170th Street near Liberty Avenue. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital in serious condition.
According to the Post, "a perp is currently barricaded inside the house, and hostage negotiators are en route." But according to CBS, police are looking for two suspects believed to be in their 20s. This was one of several stabbings around the city today—at least four people were taken to the hospital after a stabbing on a Queens subway platform this morning.
