The police say a woman was robbed in Central Park on Wednesday morning, and hope the public can help them identify the suspect.
According to the NYPD, at around 11 a.m. on July 15, a 26-year-old woman was walking on a pedestrian path from the Great Hill (which is on the West Side, from 103rd to 107th Streets) when an unknown male approached her. Police say he "punched her repeatedly in the face and removed her purse. The suspect then removed the victim's wallet from her purse before giving the purse back to her then fleeing the park."
The victim, who sustained injuries to her face, refused medical attention. Police release photos of the suspect, describing him as being 35-40, about 6' with a medium build.
