Police have released two videos of the suspect they believe fatally stabbed 25-year-old Michael Jones early Sunday morning near Union Square. An NYPD release describes the suspect as a Hispanic male, age 25 to 30 years old with a "dark ponytail."

Authorities say Jones, a resident of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, was found by paramedics with stab wounds in his neck and torso after a 911 call was placed at around 4:25 a.m. Long after the stabbing, Jones' severed ear was said to be visible on the sidewalk in front of 25 West 14th Street, along with a pool of blood and his iPhone. One witness who saw Jones' body lying on the ground told CBS that crowds of people walked by Jones, believing him to be some sort of "Halloween joke."
