The NYPD is searching for a man they say forced a woman to withdraw $1,000 from an Upper East Side Citibank, having threatened to douse her with acid if she refused to comply.

Cops say that at 5:28 p.m. on Friday, the victim, a 22-year-old woman, was at the Citibank location on First Avenue near East 68th Street when she was approached from behind by the suspect. The Daily News reports he told her, "Yo, Mami, I have acid, and I’m gonna throw it in your face if you don’t give me $1,000." Police say he then showed her a clear bottle with yellow liquid inside.

The victim withdrew the funds, and the suspect allegedly fled to parts unknown. There have been no arrests.

Cops say the suspect is 6'4, thin, and was last seen wearing grey pullover and dark blue jeans.
