Hours before an explosion rocked Chelsea on Saturday, a subway passenger yelled "BOMB!" and then counted down from five, according to police. Now the NYPD intends to charge him with falsely reporting a bomb threat—if they can find him.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 17th, at 5:45 p.m.: According to the NYPD, the man was riding a "northbound" L train leaving the Bedford Avenue station in Williamsburg when he yelled "BOMB!" and counted down from 5. Then—wait for it—he yelled "BOOM!" Hilarious, right?
A passenger took a photograph of the man before she left the train at First Avenue.
The suspect (pictured, right) is described as being in his 20s and 5'10" and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue pants.
