An argument with a MTA bus driver apparently prompted a passenger to throw a metal garbage can at the bus in Manhattan—and now police asking the public for help in finding the suspect, who is wanted for attempted assault.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred on July 15th, at around 9:20 p.m., at the corner of West 14th Street and 7th Avenue. (There are three buses at run by that intersection—the M5, M14 and M20.) Police say the unidentified passenger threw a metal garbage can at the windshield of the MTA bus "causing extensive damage following a verbal dispute with the driver. The driver was not injured as a result of this incident."

The cops released photos of the suspect. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
