The police released surveillance video of a man accused of attacking and robbing a woman at a Brooklyn train station on the first day of the year.

According to the police, a 26-year-old woman was in the stairwell of the Graham Avenue L train station on January 1, 2014 at about 5:17 a.m. A man approached her from behind, assaulted her and then took her cellphone.

The suspect is described as being in his 20s, 5'7" and wearing a black knit cap, brown bubble jacket, black sweatpants and black sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
