A man accused of shoving a B train rider for a subway seat is now wanted for assault, police say.

The incident took place on Tuesday, March 26th, during the evening commute, at the 7th Avenue-53rd Street subway station. According to the NYPD, a 27-year-old woman was on a southbound B train "when an unidentified male pushed the victim with his shoulder to obtain a seat."

The man left the train at an unknown station. The victim reportedly experienced back pain but refused medical attention at the scene.

Police released an image of the suspect, describing him as 40-50 years old and last wearing a black coat.
