Police are hoping the public can help them identify a man accused of socking a subway rider at a Manhattan station last year.

The assault occurred on December 15th, 2016, around 3:10 p.m. According to the NYPD, a 29-year-old man on the northbound 4/5 platform got into a verbal dispute with the suspect, which culminated with the victim getting punched in the face. The assailant then fled the platform on a northbound 4 train.

The victim was treated for a laceration to his mouth at NY Presbyterian Hospital.

Investigators released an image of the man they're looking for, describing him as being about 35-40 years old, 6' tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket.
