The police are hoping the public can help identify a suspect accused of a criminal sex act that occurred early Friday in Manhattan.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on September 8th. The NYPD says that a 19-year-old woman was entering a building near West 145th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue "when an unidentified male approached the victim, restrained her against the wall and made direct physical contact with the victim's genital area before fleeing the location."

The suspect is 25-30 years old, around 5'8" and 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, a T-shirt and jeans; carrying a knapsack, cellphone and shopping bags.
