The police hope that the public can help them identify a suspect in a public lewdness incident that took place over the summer.

According to the NYPD, it happened on Wednesday, July 16, at 7:10 p.m., along the 2/5 line near West 160th Street: A 50-year-old woman was sitting across from a man who "exposed himself numerous times to her." Police say, "The victim was able to take a photo of the suspect while he pretended to sleep."

The suspect appears to be in his early 40s. Anyone with information in regards to this public lewdness is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All tips are confidential.
