The NYPD is looking for a man accused of robbing a man at a Brooklyn subway station—and using a hammer to assault him.
According to WCBS 2, it happening yesterday morning at 9:20 a.m.: Police say a "32-year-old man was buying a Metro Card at the Fulton Street & Rockaway Avenue subway stop when the suspect approached him from behind, hit him in the head with a hammer, and demanded money."
The victim gave him money and the suspect fled. The victim was treated for a head injury at Brookdale Hospital.
The suspect is described as 5'10" and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds. Anyone with information regarding this robbery has been asked to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
