A female subway rider was attacked by a man who was masturbating on a 3 train Wednesday morning. Police have arrested suspect Alvaro Denica, who reportedly said of the victim, "She was precious."

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 11:40 a.m., when a 28-year-old woman encountered Denica masturbating on a 3 train in Park Slope, Brooklyn. She tried to exit the train, but, police say, Denica grabbed her by the shoulders and they both fell to the platform. Another subway rider who witnessed the incident intervened.

The Post reports that Denica assaulted her while still on the train and that he intended to rape the woman:

Denica then approached the woman, shoved her to the floor and tried to rape her as she screamed for help. A man in the adjacent car heard the commotion and rushed over to help, tackling Denica and subduing him until the train rolled into the Bergen Street stop.

The victim and the good Samaritan brought the perv to the 78th Precinct, near the Barclays Center, where he was arrested. Denica, of Bensonhurst, admitted to cops that he was masturbating on the train but denied trying to rape the victim, sources said.

Denica was charged with second-degree assault as a sexually motivated felony, second-degree assault, attempted sexual assault and other charges.
