Police are hoping the public can help them identify a man who allegedly forcibly touched a subway passenger last month.
According to the NYPD, on Monday, September 7th, at around 2 p.m. a 38-year-old woman took a seat on a northbound Q train near Flatbush Avenue and Ocean Avenue, at which point a man sitting next to her "rubbed his right arm on her left breast several times" before fleeing at the Atlantic Avenue Barclays Center stop.
The victim was not physically injured, but did managed to give the police this photograph of the suspect. The suspect is also described as having gray haired, 5'7" and 180 pounds, and last seen wearing a red t-shirt.
Anyone with information in regards to this suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
If you see or experience gross subway behavior, you can do something about it (but stay safe!). The MTA's website has a place for riders to report subway misconduct and even a place for riders to submit images.
