Police are hoping the public can help them identify a male accused of trying to rape a woman in Bensonhurst earlier this month.

According to the NYPD, a 34-year-old female was walking near 74th Street and 20th Avenue in Bensonhurst at approximately 2:30 a.m. on August 5th, 2015, "when the suspect grabbed her from behind and began to kiss her neck. The victim resisted and the suspect fled the location without further incident."
