Even though the NYPD is bragging about all the illegal fireworks they've seized over the July 4th weekend, there's one illegal firework police are particularly angry about: The one that hit a marked police car, which then caught fire.
Now investigators have released an image of the alleged firework thrower, who was apparently part of a group who had been setting off illegal fireworks in Fort Greene. According to the NYPD, around 3:23 a.m. on July 5th, "the suspect threw a consumer grade aerial shell firework inside of a marked police car that was parked in front of 487 Carlton Avenue, causing the interior to catch fire and cause substantial damage to the vehicle."
Cops describe the male suspect, who is wanted for criminal mischief, as having a thin build and a short haircut, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, and dark colored pants.
