The NYPD is hoping members of the public can help identify a man who allegedly threatened to slash a woman with a box cutter on a rush hour F train in Manhattan earlier this summer. According to police, the suspect pointed the cutter at a 31-year-old woman on a northbound F train heading into West 4th Street shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7th.

The man menacingly extended and retracted the blade toward the unidentified victim, who then fled the train at West 4th and reported the incident to an officer. She was not injured, police said. Surveillance footage later revealed that the suspect leaving the train at 14th Street.
