Police have released a surveillance video of a man who is accused of attempting to rape and rob a woman in a Soho early on Tuesday.
According to the NYPD, the incident happened at 1:15 a.m. on October 8th at Thompson Street between Prince and Spring Streets. The suspect approached a 20-year-old woman, described by the Daily News as a NYU student, from behind, placing her in a chokehold while trying to rape her. He left the scene with her purse. The woman was treated for facial injuries.
