A pregnant woman was shoved to the ground during a cell phone robbery that began on a D train in the Bronx last month.

The incident occurred on December 20th, at around 6 p.m. The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was on a northbound D train at the Grand Concourse and East Tremont Avenue subway station when, according to the NYPD, a male individual "grabbed... [her] cell phone and tried to run off the train. When the victim struggled to maintain possession of her cell phone the individual shoved her into a pillar on the platform. The victim fell to the ground and let go of her cell phone; the individual fled to the street area."

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital as a precaution. The suspect was described as being about 25 years old and was last seen wearing a black and gray hooded jacket and light blue jeans.
