The police are hoping the public can help identify a man accused of a brutal beating carried out with a steering wheel lock in Brooklyn.

The police say the incident occurred just after midnight on May 10th at 140 Hamilton Avenue, which is the address of the Brooklyn Motor Inn. According to the NYPD, "The suspect entered the location and struck two victims with a car club." The victims were a 13-year-old boy, who suffered a broken arm and a head laceration, and a 29-year-old man who suffered a head laceration. The victims were treated at a hospital.

The suspect is described as being around 45-50 years old. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips at the Crime Stoppers Website or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
