The NYPD has released shocking video documenting the shooting of a 30-year-old man who was shot on a Bronx sidewalk last week. The victim had been walking with this three-year-old daughter in University Heights when three men in hooded sweatshirts suddenly approached him.

The incident took place around 2:10 p.m. on September 17th. According to the NYPD, the gunmen approached the victim, who was with the toddler, "brandished firearms and one of them fired a shot at the victim but missed him. The victim then grabbed his daughter and attempted to run away from the men."

However, the suspects then grabbed him, police say, and pulled his daughter away before one of them shot him, hitting him once in the right leg.

The suspects then fled south on University Avenue. The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. His daughter was not physically injured.

Two of the men sought by police were wearing black hooded sweaters, dark colored pants and dark colored sneakers, while the other was wearing a red and blue hooded sweater, light colored pants and white sneakers.
