Police are looking for an individual accused of trying to rape a woman in Brooklyn last month.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at 4 a.m. on Monday, July 20: A 34-year-old woman was entering her building on 16th Street in Brooklyn when a male came up behind her and asked her to let him inside. Police say. "The victim, knowing that the suspect did not live in the building, refused. The suspect then exposed his erect penis to the victim. The victim began to scream and the suspect pushed her to the floor and then fled the scene."
The victim refused medical treatment.
The police released surveillance video of the suspect, who may be wanted in two other choking incidents in the area.
Update: The NYPD said the attempted rape occurred in Sunset Park, in the 72nd Precinct. This post has been updated to reflect that it's in the southern part of Park Slope
