A 22-year-old man walking in East New York was attacked by a group of suspects, and now police are hoping the public can help identify them.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, when the victim was in front of 331 Crescent Street. Police say he "was followed by four individuals, who inquired if the victim was a gang member. The victim declined the question and the individuals punched him in the face and used a box cutter on the left side of his face."

The suspects fled and the victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital for treatment.

The suspects are described as four males, around 20 years old.
