A 49-year-old male is being interrogated after allegedly attacking his 7-year-old son, wife and mother-in-law in their Flushing, Queens home last night, according to police.

The NYPD says that at around 9:05 p.m. last night, they were called to a home on Jasmine Avenue near 156th Street. There, they found a 44-year-old woman who had suffered lacerations to her head and blunt trauma to her face; a 77-year-old woman with lacerations at the top of her head, and a 7-year-old boy who suffered blunt force trauma to his skull. They were all transported to local hospitals and are in stable condition—all three are expected to survive.

A 49-year-old male was also found with lacerations to his neck and face, which police believe are self-inflicted; they believe the unidentified man attacked his family members. He was transported to New York Hospital-Queens in critical, but stable condition.

Though the NYPD was unable to confirm what weapons were used in the attack, the Daily News reports that the suspect attacked his son, wife and mother-in-law with a knife and a hammer. No arrests were made as of this morning, but the suspect is currently being interrogated.
