The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. on October 20th, near West 13th Street and 7th Avenue. According to the NYPD, an 81-year-old woman was followed into the building by the suspect and when she opened the door to the vestibule, "the male punched her several times to her head and face, which caused her to fall to the ground."
