2015_05_subpunch12.jpgThe police are asking for the public's help in finding the person accused of punching a senior citizen and stealing his cellphone at Brooklyn subway station.

According to the NYPD, at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15th, a 68-year-old man was walking down the stairs of the 9th Street subway station's R line and talking on his cellphone when a male approached him, "punched him several times about the head, face and body and removed [his] cell phone." The suspect then fled on the northbound track bed.

The police release surveillance images of the suspect.
