Yesterday, Mayor Bloomberg announced that about $24 billion in tourists' dollars had been spent in the Big Apple, making it a banner year for the city's tourism industry. And about 44 million people from both stateside and abroad visited, up from last year's 41 million (we knew it felt more crowded).
