A few months ago, President Obama implored the media and entertainment outlets to stop making prison rape jokes, due to the fact that rape, in or out of prison, is a horribly insensitive thing to make light of. But not if you're an editor at the NY Post, where they think it's hilarious to advocate prison rape as a suitable punishment for confessed pedophile and former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle.

The cover is tied to the story about how Fogle, who will be sentenced to between 5 and 12.5 years in prison for activities including engaging in underage sex and acquiring child porn, raped some of his underage victims in NYC while making appearances on behalf of Subway. Prosecutors said that Fogle planned his business trips to coincide with his "pursuit of commercial sex acts."

The Post obviously didn't need to make light of prison rape to report the story; the Daily News also featured it on the cover, breaking their streak of painted ladies outrage covers with the pun, "Sub Human." The Post, on the other hand, seems to be of the opinion that the only way to fight a rapist is with more rape.

There was plenty of outrage and eye-rolling on Twitter, but also a fair amount of snickering:

Calling this a LOL WIN LOL for the Post seems perhaps a tad bit too far, but it's certainly on par for the Post, a rag that liberally sprinkles fat jokes into otherwise straightforward news stories, that makes light of suicide victims, that regularly smears innocent people in the pursuit of sensationalist headlines, that has turned criticizing de Blasio into a psychosexual game, and let us never forget, published the photo of a man as he was about to be fatally struck by a train.

But hey, anything for some memorable wood, amiright????
