A Gothamist reader (who asked to remain anonymous) recently sent us these photographs of a man who was masturbating on a M train last week. (Warning: There are NSFW photos of the perv below.) Here's her account—and as horrible as the photos are, the treatment she got from a police officer was pretty bad, too:
I was riding the Queens-bound M train on Friday 9/14. Around 11:10am, I looked up from my iPhone and the pervert sitting across from me was in the middle of wacking off. I took 3 pictures with my iPhone. When I pointed the phone up at him, he proceeded to tuck his ding dong back in his pants and run out of Grand Ave/Newton station.
The worst part of this experience is, when I went to 112th Precinct 3 stations away, the female cop there said I should've ran after him and called the cops at that station. Because it happened in a different neighborhood, she can't take down my report. She told me to go to 104th Precinct, which I later found out is not even the correct police station. She said its common sense and how could I not know? She walked away and, in shock, I just stood there. She came back few mins later and asked me, meanly, "You want me to take down the report?! Is that what you want?!" I told her she was being insensitive as a woman. She said I was giving her attitude.
Is that how female cops treat their victims? I stormed out of there and went back to the station where I got off, 67 Ave, and asked the station attendant to call the transit police for me. They arrived and were very helpful and nice.
As infuriating as this must have been, these days we're not all that surprised to read about an NYPD officer not wanting to fill out a police report. And we don't blame you for clicking away to some innocent puppy photos after seeing at this NSFW photo—scroll down at your own risk!:
